The author: Matthias Arnold, born in 1947, wrote his doctoral thesis on Vincent van Gogh. He lives in Munich and works as a freelance writer.

"Small Gem" according to Duke of KC. This is a good example of how a small art book can be very informative and inspiring, Taschen publishers seems to have a knack for publishing books with great images and paper quality. After reading and enjoying the book one can appreciate the ground breaking work of TL, obviously a savant in creative imagery. His depiction of his time is so brutally honest when many others were turning a blindside to the decadence and skepticism of the younger generat. shopgirl76 said Lovely, great quality stickers!. There's some diversity and although not all my favorite Toulouse-Lautrec artwork is represented, it's a good variety.. cruisestars said I have this book !. I think for the value, the book has many pictures of Toulouse-Lautrec's paintings and posters. I'm enjoying reading about his life.
