I've been a fan of Cobb's John Pickett stories since the beginning and have enjoyed the mysteries in each and the star-crossed, understated romance slowly developing between lower-class Bow Street runner John and young upper-class widow Julia, Lady Fieldhurst. In addition, there have been some great secondary charac. Wonderful & clever addition to an outstanding series As a committed fan of the John Pickett series, I waited impatiently for the next in a marvelous series. This was a unique take in that the focus was heavily on Julia, Lady Fieldhurst. Making an unconscious man interesting can't be easy to write unless the author is as gifted as SCS. Very interesting, very nicely don. Fun, fun, fun and please let us continue on E. A. Summers Fun! They mystery was not really a mystery to the reader, but this book wrapped up a number of things and like others, I love Julia and John and hope there are more adventures/mysteries in store involving them. As another reviewer noted, Julia came into her own in this book and thankfully John raised few objections!
