It contains the basic history of the instrument, many of the key individuals involved in its evolution and popularity over time. The photographs are incredible, with vintage instruments, sheet music and lots of personalities. The author has a passion for the instrument and is one of the reasons the ukulele has grown so much in popularity in the last two decades and it shows through in the book.. a visual knock-out - a must read for ukulele fans This is a remarkable book for anyone who enjoys musical instraments, old and new.
