I think the main attraction about this series is the interest in all of the main characters, and watching the relationships develop over time. Nothing heavy or dark in the series, thank goodness, but I find that I actually "missed" them after finishing all of the books. Very enjoyable.. "Great Book" according to Carole Griffith.
