Excellent story. I have enjoyed several of this author's books and being a nurse find them to be excellent stories told by such a good writer. I highly recommend them as a very well written, entertaining, and knowledgeable set of books.. The Sixth Sense I thought this was a wonderfully written book about the power of perception. The main character Arnie is given an increased sensitivity to smells after his encephalitis. At first, it seemed great, being able to diagnose conditions based upon smells, but eventually that becomes overwhelming and Arnie's life is greatly affected. In the midst of all Arnie. Cy B. Hilterman said doctor comes out of surgery with a strong sense of smell. This terrific book takes the reader into the medical profession, as do Dr. Gold's other two books but this one goes farther introducing the "Sixth Sense" to the readers.
