Gene drew the cover and illustrations for this book on an iPad using the Artstudio app. He earned degrees in architecture from the University of Illinois and MIT and practiced architecture and taught architectural history and computer-aided design for many years before turning his focus primarily toward drawing and writing. Gene grew up in a small town in central Illinois.
