It's okay,,,, Andrea M. Lerum I was so excited to read this book and learn some interesting facts about that terrible winter that Laura Ingalls Wilder describes in "The Long Winter", but when I finished the book, I had only learned a few anecdotes and not much else. Had I not read a 1976 biography of Larua, entitled "Laura", I would have been much more impressed. However, Mr. White seems to have copied verbatim f. "Excellent" according to koshernet7. On reading other reviews of this book I was a little skeptical of reading it but I thought it was very well written and I didn't notice choppy sentences at all. I definitely loved reading and I will read it again in the future. Any Laura Ingalls Wilder fan will love this book.. I READ IT IN ONE NIGHT COULDN'T PUT IT DOWN!! Jaimelyn My favorite book is "The Long Winter" by Laura Ingalls Wilder, so when I saw this book, I just had to get it. I wanted to learn more about that time in history. The interesting thing about this book is that it talks about what that Winter was like all over the country and then it gets into what people had to go through when the snow began to melt in the Spring. I ABSOLUTELY LOVE THIS
