Akinbiyi A Lalude said An important book for every child and adult. I have come in search of The Last Bit Bear because of my college experience. I have found that since I have been in college very few people have been strong enough to be an individual. The Last Bit Bear is the story of a bear who is the last of his kind, an individual by default. It is a story of how he searches for other Bit bears but in the end finds that he is the last bit bear; he finds his Self. This book will encourage children to be individuals and go in search of their Self, adults as well. I love all children's books but this one in particular because of the powerful messa. "The Last Bit-Bear by Sandra Chisholm Robinson" according to maria. Beautiful story about how important it is for humans to care for the environment. Just read the book and became very emotional. I think the first printing may have been in the early 80's, way before it was cool to be environmentally conscious. A must read for all children and adults for that matter. Can not say enough about how touching this story is. Loved it.. "Hand me down!" according to Faerieblood. My aunt bought me this book about 20 years ago. I still have it and will give it to my children!

(Jodelle Greiner, Gainesville, Tx Daily Register) . If you want to impress on your young children the importance of being environmentally responsible, it could open up conversation and plant seeds into their little minds
