"Fizzled Out" according to M. Jane Harris. The first half of the book was compelling but the author seemed to lose steam as she progressed through the story. The ending was unbelievably contived and was thus disappointing. Nonetheless the story had historical value and was worth reading.. "Oh dear" according to The Crone. This is a book that should have stayed inside the Creative Writing class, as it is very poorly executed, with no character developement, an extremely awkward first-person narration, and overblown writing that still manages to use almost every cliche I could think of. Poorly edited as well, as evidenced, for example, by this sentence: "I run to him, kneeling." How could one do that? More to the point, how could a competent editor or even proofreader, let something l. cliche!!! I decided to read the sample of the book before investing in it and am glad because it is a naive, cliche novel. The book was a disappointment from page one, with gramatically innacurate quote in polish lunguage.
