MissMommy said Heaven help us!. If you managed to read this entire novel, you have accomplished something. It goes on forever and rambles all over the place. Honestly, I wonder at the mental state of the author. This starts off with a little promise, but just digresses into page after page of ramblings and rantings. A depressing bit of retro "literature".. "READ!" according to Dahlia McLeod. This is an amazing book. Don't let the late-Victorian verbosity of the opening get you down - this book is very much worth reading.
