DESCRIPTION:

Excellent Commentary from Reformed Perspective Based on the New International Version, this detailed commentary includes analysis of the major interpretations of each passage. Hebrew knowledge not necessary, but helpful. Language notes are separated. Each 'book' includes Introduction and Outline, NIV Text, Commentary Discussion including all major views, and Language notes. Emphasis is on what t. "Samuel is a disappointment" according to Customer. I did not care for the exposition of 1st and 2nd Samuel by Ronald Youngblood, the other commentaries are okay in this set, but the approach to Samuel is way too cluttered for me. I understand the need to show references in the main body copy and then providing additional annotations in the notes page, but the entire book(s) of Samuel is so full of r. Very good commentary A little older version but still very helpful and reliable. Have used it a few times already and it was very helpful in my sermon prep and general studies. Very satisfied.
