DESCRIPTION:
Great Crochet Resource! This book was the answer to my prayer when it comes to a visual resource of crochet stitches. I am working on designing a wedding shawl for myself and wanted a book that had I could get some inspiration from. The book not only has 500 designs, but each are clearly described with directions and a symbol diagram.I have already created swatches of several patterns . Disappointing Byste I've had this book on my wish list forever, so I was really excited when I could afford to order it. I received it a couple of days ago and, while it has lots of crochet stitch pictures and instructions, they're mostly of the lacy variety. There are a few (very few) of what I call "fabric" stitches--stitches that are variations of single, double and treble croch. This is a great compilation of crochet stitches with some editorial problems BookChick This is a great compilation of crochet stitches with some editorial problems. The yarn used to demonstrate the stitches is atrocious and lumpy, making the stitch definition in the pictures terrible. But the charts and written instructions come to the rescue. I refer to this all the time, but I hate the photos. White yarn? Really? Ugh.
No wonder The Complete Book of Crochet Stitch Designs is considered a must-have reference for crocheters! . Each design features a close-up color photograph, a diagram showing each stitch and its placement, and easy to follow instructions. A pictorial index displays a thumbnail view of every design for easy selection and navigation. This stitchwork classic features 500 designs ranging from traditional patterns to original motifs--crocheters of every level will find essential information and inspiration on every page
