Prof. Shaw writes an excellent introduction to French Poetry I've had Professor Shaw for two classes already and I must say her classes are very informative and interesting. Not everyone has the pleasure of taking a class with her, but I recommend all my fellow French Literature majors out there to read this book. If you are a undergraduate and want to gain a broad knowledge of poetry ranging from the Medieval French poetry to contemporary Francophone poetry this book is your answer.
