I was blessed to be placed in foster care, into a loving home that never made me feel like I was a forgotten orphan child. I work in long term behavior modification, 28 day residential, out-patient, dual diagnosed and partial hospitalization. About the Author I have worked in the human service field for over two decades; I am a certified alcohol and drug counselor, in the state of Illinois. Growing up in a small village, in upstate New York, my family was hard-working and fun, yet provided a structured environment. I rose from the ashes of my self-destructed hell after starting my life as a newborn baby abandoned in the hospital. .
