disappointing solutions manual jeff west solutions for chapter 2.3 were close to useless. lots of missing characters, tips so brief as to be useless. all in all, really a pretty poor performance. the author obviously didn't take his job seriously. but i'll give him the benefit of the doubt for now and hope the. "Incredible text" according to Nicholas Valente. This is one of the best math texts I've ever read. I had a horrible teacher for my differential equations class, but this book was so incredibly good that the teacher didn't matter, i taught myself the entire course from this book alone. The authors are very fond of tea. "Poor choice for an introductory text" according to Mitchel T. Keller. Why anyone would choose this text to first introduce students to differential equations is beyond me.
