DESCRIPTION:

Julie Roberts Towe said Tim Wyman's Story. The Something Like series of books read kind of like biographies. In every book except the first, you already know a lot about the storyline. But each book focuses on a different person's point of view. After finishing Something Like Summer, I picked up Something Like Winter which is the story of Tim Wyman’s life as he comes to terms with his sexuality. Something Like Winter begins in Kansas and directly addresses the rape accusation, which is revealed to be a completely false accusation by a very manipulative girl. I was relieved because that mean. If I could, I would give it 10 stars! If you are looking for an amazing series of books by a talented author, I highly recommend Jay Bell. Read the books in order as it helps to paint the best picture. There are some characters that I love less than others, but it's entertaining to see a timeline of events viewed by the perspective of different characters. You really get into the head of each character and see how simple events are much more complex than they seem. It's also amazing to read a book surrounding a character that you read about a few book before and get to really know and unders. Excellent Book! If you've read Something Like Summer (the excellent first book and companion to this story) you HAVE to read this book. I enjoyed it as much, if not more than Summer. It incorporates the events from Summer, but this time from Tim's perspective. It endeared me to the characters even more, and also did a great job of showing you why Tim made some of the mistakes he did. It also provides a more fleshed out ending. Ultimately Jay has become my favorite writer based on these two books. He delivers such depth to his characters, and really gets you to emotional
