"I'm retired now but I have used previous editions of" according to Lester J. Hunt. I'm retired now but I have used previous editions of Peter Gray's texts in my PSY 101 classes at Northern Arizona University. This edition has the evolutionary psychology and university-level focus that I wanted. The only "gap" I had with the book was because it had such a strong reductionistic orientation in the area of perception that I filled in with a lecture on James J. Gibson's ecological appro. Expensive, but a good, introductory textbook. It's been a while since I took psychology, and Gray is on it's Seventh Edition (!). If you are a casual reader, there is the sticker shock. US $ 170is no joke. In that price you could read much of Hillman, Jung, Erickson etc.I like how there used to be an annotated bibliography at the end of each chapter. The book is not difficult to understand. Ivy League schoolscovered this text in a semester, wher. "Great Condition, Great Price" according to Amazon Customer. Much better than spending 200 dollars at Barnes and Noble.
