Lazarus, an accomplished poet in her own right and a dedicated Zionist. published her translations in 1881, a quarter century after Heine's early death. Perh. "love it" according to Love the 19th century. I really enjoy having Heine's poetry especially while I was traveling in Paris and Berlin this summer.
