I am an adult, my children are grown and I don't have grandchildren but I bought it anyway and thoroughly enjoyed it. I Googled "Patsy Ann of Juneau" so I could find a picture of her bronze statue. That is the only thing missing from the book. Travelers and dogs lovers alike will love this book.. "Great Story ! And true." according to Sandy Collings. Great story and actually true. We saw the statue in Juneau, AK. where Patsy Ann lived. It's a great story that is touching, we have it in our school leveled library too.
