DESCRIPTION:
Look like a million bucks for the price of a paperback book. K. Erickson No more shot-in-the-dark tweaking! This book is an absolute essential for any home sewer. I probably resisted it longer than I should have because "everybody" says it's so great how many books are that good? Well, this one's a revolution. Upped my sewing/fitting game exponentially--and this from someone who's been sewing for many decades. Put it together with Fit for Real People, also by Pati Palmer and Marta Alto, and Claire Shaeffer's Couture Sewing Techniques, and yo. Great Concepts! All the directions make sense! Am looking forward to experimenting with patterns I've tucked away for years because they just didn't quite fit my "maturing" body.. "Tough to use on a Kindle and difficult to follow" according to Silver Spring Wanderer. I really liked Fit for Real People, but I struggled with following the fitting instructions in this book. I've found other resources online that made more sense for me. Also, this type of book doesn't really lend itself to the kindle format very well, at least not for me. I like to flip back and forth, which is hard with the Kindle edition. That is my fault for not thinking through how I would use the book, but just a warning for those who are similarly inclined.
