Nicholas (Nick) Herman is a litigator with The Brough Law Firm in Chapel Hill, North Carolina, where his practice is devoted to complex litigation and appeals, including county and municipal defense, zoning issues, land-use regulation, condemnation cases, employment law issues, business litigation and personal injury. He is the author of four books on the law of evidence, legal counseling, negotiating and mediating, and plea bargaining. Along with his extensive trial experience, he has written over 30 articles in civil and criminal law, and has argued over 30 cases in the appellate courts of North Carolina and the United States Court of Appeals for the Fourth Circuit.
