"Visually stunning" according to J.Prather. I love the design of Nicholas Blechman's Night Light. It features bright, bold transportation pictures of cars, trucks, planes, boats and buses. It also functions really well as a first counting book through an innovative use of cut out holes and lots of black space. We begin with a solid black two page spread featuring the text "1 light, shining bright?" on one side and a cut out hole on the other side with a white light shining through. Turn the page and we see a large, bold picture of a train emerging from a tunnel that is sure to please even the youngest story listeners. We are ba.
