"MORYAK ROCKS!" according to Surf06. If I had history teachers over the years anywhere near as engaging as Lee Mandel, I might know more about history! This is a very well-written and thoroughly researched book disguised as a military thriller. Among my personal favorite authors are Tom Clancy, Clive Cussler, and John Jakes, but Lee has taken the best of all three in this novel. With enough plot twists and historical facts to keep any reader entertained, this book left me hungry for more. Time well spent and I feel more informed about this period in history. I thorough enjoyed reading this historical fiction set during the Russian Revolution.The character of Moryak is compelling and well-developed; the story is very creative, as well as, believable. The authorhas a passion for history and it shows! The book even urged me to further research the Russian Revolution and anti-Semitism during the turn of the century.
