I'll admit I wasn't completely sold on reading biblical fiction, especially since I'm not very well versed on biblical history to begin with. However, this epic love story was very gripping. I liked that the author listed an appendix of characters at the end so that we could see who was taken from the Bible and who was created in the author's imagination. The book, at times, is very graphic, but in my opinion it only adds to th. X-rated Bible stories???? Interesting story, but had to stop reading it. I really really tried but I couldn't take the overly abundant sex scenes. A book CAN be romantic, sensually written, true about the desirability of temptation, and yet not x-rated in its depictions. I held out as long as I could for a revelation a God's grace breaking through. If it's there, I couldn't make it.
