DESCRIPTION:
Good investment! so glad I discovered this book! Sometimes Google doesn't have the right definition you're looking for and this book breaks it down to a child's level of understanding. Which is great because now my son can work independently.. skier said Everyone should have one. They should give this book to every parent who has a child in elementary school. It's so helpful. It's amazing how much we have forgotten over the years (I guess we were right when we told out teachers that we'd never use that information again!). teachergirl said Good book!. My kiddo likes this book a lot. The only reason he does not give it a five is because he says it is strictly a dictionary, unlike his other "math dictionary" which goes more in-depth and also more fully explains the concepts rather than simply defining them.
Can't remember the difference between a prime number and a square number? Forgotten how many sides on a pentagon (5), heptagon (7), or nonagon (9)? Then you need DK's new Math Dictionary! Inside, you'll find more than 300 entries on the words, phrases, and concepts used by grade-school students in their math classes and in their lives outside school.
