DESCRIPTION:
Any book written by John Blanchard has to be welcomed. It is full of information, explanation and inspiration. You have whetted my appetite to dig deeper in the Minor Prophets.'--The Right Rev. Kenneth Clarke . So this book promises to be a great treat.'--Phillip Jensen'Thank you John Blanchard for this excellent resource. 'John Blanchard has put us in his debt by presenting these prophets in their period, with the challenges they faces and the vital ministries God have them to magnify his name'.--Rev Geoff Thomas'Any book that encourages us to study the Minor Prophets has to be welcomed
Some eighteen million copies of his publications are in print in over sixty languages. Dr John Blanchard is an internationally-known author, evangelist and Christian apologist.
Gives a general grasp of each prophet and their main theme and message. In the midst of corruption, we see God's sovereignty, hatred of sin and his wonderful love. A simple way to introduce these studies in the Minor Prophets will be to ask and answer these questions about them: Who were they? Why are they known as 'Minor Prophets? When and where did they live? What was their ministry? What was their message? Once we have answers to these questions we will be in a position to look at the prophets' main themes before focusing on one specific statement made by each one of them.. In what Rev George Curry calls a 'twelve course feast', John Blanchard enables us to see how these Minor Prophets reacted to the massive changes that swept through Israel and Judah in their lifetime
"Four Stars" according to K C Kolstad. great help!. Good book, but not a study on minor prophets. Timothy Yoder This book does very little in the way of giving information, background, exegetical study, etc. It reads more like a topical sermon where the preacher bases a message in a text from the Minor Prophets then directly launches into the topic without really dealing with a text. this is an easy read and a good read but not the book for you if you're looking to really learn about the Minor Prophets.. "An absolute must read for any true Christian" according to Christeen Ghany. Words can not convey the depth of John Blanchard's book of the Major Points from the Minor Prophets. he is astounding as he explains the plight of the prophets as his explanations leap off of the pages and into ky heart.
