DESCRIPTION:

Law & Order in a Small Town I loved this book. I thought it would have too much courtroom legal speak that I would not get, but it didn't. An interesting court room mystery that was like watching Jack McCoy of Law & Order get stuck in a small town with unwritten "local rules". I enjoy books by this author very much.. "More true-to-life than most" according to A Customer. The story is laid out above (Editorial Reviews). So I'll just add that I liked it. It was pleasantly different than most legalmysteries in that it was about regular people in a rural town, not your wealth blahblahblah clients who can and do buy andmanipulate everything and everyone in sight. This is the third book by Jay Brandon I've read and enjoyed. The only blooper I found was that the lawyer went looking to see if the defendant was wearing a. Local Fools I can't write little enough about this book, it all sounds like bull to me. This book made me take the next day off work sick it was so bad. A real page-sticker. Recommended to people with bad eye-sight and bad hearing with mimimal interaction with other people. Jay Brandon could ruin your life like he has ruined mine. All that said I would still rather read this than talk to anyonre in my hostel, the USA Hostel in San Francisco.

Attorney Jordan Marshall is just on his way to the beach, passing through Green Hills, Texas, a small town he's barely noticed before. It seems like a simple case, so why does he encounter such hostility everywhere he goes as Wayne's lawyer? Then Jordan learns of the murder that happened shortly before Wayne beat up his best friend, the

A few holes in the plot and an obvious red herring do little to impede the pleasures of time spent in the company of Marshall and the Green Hills' citizenry. But what should have been a five-minute pro forma exercise takes on life-changing importance as Marshall, convinced that justice is being ill-served in the case, uncovers another murder and turns up a big-city number of small-town secrets. In swiftly moving prose and with an affectionately rendered, credible cast, Brandon (Loose Among the Lambs) delivers a solid string of riveting, detailed courtroom dramas?and some moving bedroom scenes as well.
