The boys in the bank HH This issue of Life contains the story upon which the film "Dog Day Afternoon" was based. It's extraordinary! Before reading the story, I'd given the film 5 stars (out of 5) -- but after reading the stories and seeing the pictures, I give the film 6 stars! Lumet does an exceptional job of adapting a short story for the screen. Admirers and lovers of the film would do well get a copy of this issue.. Better than expected. This was a fantastic gift for my daughter. The magazine was unbelievable & better than expected.. Five Stars Susan My mother n law and her friends loved reminiscing about this time in their lives.
