Tried many courses - This is hands down the BEST. Marlena Phillips I've tried many piano books to use for my young girls, ages 6 and 11. One of them has a very short attention span, and none of the books I tried held their attention for very long. They preferred to make up melodies and pick out songs they already knew by ear instead of learning to really play piano. This book not only held their attention, but they both practiced the songs over and over because there is simple but fun accompaniment on the included CD for each song. My little one caught on very quickly, and was very exci. "excellent! my students love it!" according to Busy Reader. Great book! Love the CD band accompaniment. Keeps kids on track, teaches timing, keeping up with the band holds the students interest well.
