Magnificent adaptation There is a scene in the 1982 Conan the Barbarian film that I always loved. It took place at the end of the credits, and showed Arnold Schwarzenegger as an aged King Conan, brooding on his throne. Somehow that single shot had as much power as the entire film, and there was always the promise that the story of that scene would someday be told. Unfortunately, that promise never came through. Endless incompetent Hollywood script writers, actors, and directors have managed t. Another great translation of Howard's work into graphic novel form! Leo Hott Conan like Tarzan is one of those characters that literally out grows their creator!!! Conan's success during Robert E. Howard's life time led him to cannibalize many of his other story's to turn them into Conan tales to earn some money. You can hardly blame him it must have been difficult indeed to earn a living submitting to the pulp's! Lets face it he only got paid around 2 cents a word and each story had its limitations on length if he wanted to see his story publis. Another excellent adaptation of Robert E.
