. Clive Cussler is the author of many New York Times bestsellers, most recently The Spy and Lost Empire. He lives in Arizona
I enjoyed the book I enjoyed the book. It had a good plot. I do agree with other reviewers and critics that Mr. Cussler's female characters were poorly developed in this adventure story. I have read most of Mr. Cussler's books and I believe he does much better with male and female character development now.. "Done with Cussler" according to Amazon Customer. Cussler's Dirk Pitt is right out of "Mad Men" in the silly macho, woman objectifying way he behaves. Is Pitt 15 years old? It's like reading a comic book to read one of Cusslar's books. Very amateurish, shallow writing. I'm done with Cussler.. "Well done" according to Mike S.. A typical Clive Cussler book. Keeps you engaged through the entire book. Shocking ending that will set you back. Great read.
Frozen inside a million-ton mass of ice-the charred remains of a long missing luxury yacht, vanished en route to a secret White House rendezvous. The only clue to the ship's priceless-and missing-cargo: nine ornately carved rings and the horribly burned bodies of its crew.
