Excellent set of arrangements in a unique style Bill Wolaver is one of my favorite piano arrangers. His talents are multitude. And one of the strongest is his ability to write jazz, gospel, and blues music. This book shows his talents to the maximum.The arrangements are not simple; the are not "sit down and just. Too many cheesy key changes; not enough blues and rhythm. This book was a bit of a let down compared to what my hopes and expectations were.The song choices are excellent and the score writing is just advanced enough to express a unique style; but I found the harmonic structure, jazz voicings, and overall sound to be disa.
