DESCRIPTION:
Great book, but The e-book version of this book has some serious issues: Poor formatting, bad punctuation, missing pictures it's just a train wreck. The content of the book, that what is readable, is EXCELLENT. This is one of those rare comic book histories with not a lot of. "Waste of Time" according to Amazon Customer. Jim Mooney is arrogant and untalented in any generation of comics. I never liked his work and this book showed me many reasons why. Anyone who can go toe to toe with Stan Lee, though, deserves much scrutiny. Unfortunately, the scrutiny brings disappointment.. Michael Hill said Too long.. It does deal with Jim Mooney's life and his many decades in comics and while it does come up with some good information, there is not that much of it. The book is padded out by people saying what a good man Jim Mooney is.
The book features contributions from Steve Gerber, Gene Colan, Roy Thomas, Joe Sinnott and others, plus all-new art as Sinnott, Norm Breyfogle, Bob Almond, Mark McKenna, Jim Tournas and Bob McLeod exclusively ink previously unpublished Mooney pencils. It features rare and unpublished art, direct from Mooney's files, plus previously unseen personal photos. Also features is Mooney's niece Libby Titus, wife of Steely Dan Founder Donald Fagen plus an introduction by Stan "The Man" Lee.. Gentleman Jim Mooney was written with the direct involvement of Jim Mooney
