Essentials of Diagnostic Microbiology A Customer I am a medical labortory technition student. We use this as one of our primary microbiolgy textbook. After spending a couple of weeks with it, out teacher dug last years book out of the boxes. This book is full of errors, typos, and generaly hard to keep stuff straight. It sometimes seems that it was never proofread. Its full of good info, but I wonder how much is correct. I have bought 2 other books on my own for the class that I (and the teacher) rely on to verify the info in this book. If you can find this book cheap, buy it. Don't waste any money on full price.. Anyone care to proofread before publishing?? Received this book to help as a resource for classes I am taking at my university. Opened it to the first topic I was studying and the information was wrong! I'm glad that I had previously been studying and could recognize that the information was incorrect. So, just to be sure I turned to another section that I have already learned and been tested on, again the information wasn't correct. Just to make sure I looked up the information online to cross-referance this book and yep, it's wrong. Lovely, glad I didn't just dive into the info and fail my course for being wrongfully informed. Honestly, bought. The author begs the publisher to stop printing this book! I am the author and I have BEGGED the publisher to kill this book. It hasn't been revised since 1999 and the publisher didn't have a single editor with a science background. I refused to do a 2nd edition but lord help me, they keep printing the book. Please end my agony!
