I feel as if I am reading an infomercial, "The nine elements of digital citizenship were identified after evaluating hundreds of articles, books, and news broadcasts related to technology use, misuse, and abuse."Say this once in an introduction, along with the other often repeated points, such as teachers and education leaders needing to adopt and enforce more specific standards, not again and again . "Good overview but could use updating" according to JEscalante. Ribble provides a good overview of the various components of digital citizenship, but some of the lingo needs updating and many of the links no longer work. He provides good tips for supporting teachers in the integration of technology as well.. I recommend it for any teacher using technology with their students. I am a technology educator and that is the only subject I teach.
