This book is quite amusing. though it seems to be even more amusing for my Russian husband! He said some of the correct yet some of the stuff is out-of-date or inaccurate in some way. But he did say it was much better than my other RU-EN-RU slang dictionary, so that's a plus!!!I'd like to add that because cultural slang is forever changing and evolving, I think it is nearly impossible to get a good "slang dictionary" because so many of the words/phrases that are printed in it become outdated by a years end. Not for everything, but like fashion there is classics and . Mixed Feelings People use (or at least I use) bilingual dictionaries for two reasons. The first and most obvious reason is that they (or I) need to figure out what something means. On that count this dictionary probably deserves five stars. If you have no idea what a _chavka_ is, or what _malina_ means in criminal argot, then this book is great. It will tell you that the first word is what a schoolmarm would call a "mouth" and the second what she would call a "bullet".
