If Buehl didn't talk about his life or his wife so much, I would be able to give this book a 5 star review- however, there are so many roundabout anecdotes that it waters down the utility of this book. When read carefully, there are many gems, and Buehl pays close attention to accommodate teachers of all subject areas in the reading process- this is the be. "helpful" according to christina. The book is great for all single subject teachers who are not English teachers. The book has many tools and strategies that could be used to help students understand subject specific content.
