rdkmco said It's a college class book. This rating is for the overall purchase. I cannot give this a low rating nor a high rating. It is a college classroom book and necessary for the material. I had no choice to purchase , and the book was not outstanding enough to give highest rating. I would not ever purchase had it not been a requirement.. Tiara Harvey said informative. Hard to get into, seems kind of boring at first. But once you do it is very informative and useful.. Horse HHI said Five Stars. This textbook is in great condition. Wow--your new methods text just landed here today, and I've been reading in it off and on all afternoon. Really a remarkable, big-time accomplishment: a thorough, comprehensive, fair-minded, theoretically informed methods text that is--I can't believe I'm writing this--actually interesting and engaging! The text itself, the 'highlights', the images--the whole thing works beautifully as a student text and as a statement of where methods are and where they are going. Again, really great stuff--and I've already emailed my young colleague who teaches methods here to tell her she must adopt it! More broadly, I can assure you I'll be pushing it whenever/wherever I can - Jeff Ferrell. And needless to say, unlike any other texts I've seen, it doesn't just nod to qual methods--it actually understands the logic of them
This is a text that both professors and students will appreciate: professors for its comprehensive and balanced coverage of the material; students for its portrayal of research methods as interesting, exciting, and most importantly, relevant.
