Cute whodunit mystery with a feline at the helm The premise for the story made me chuckle, so I decided to give the book a try. It's a book that is about two parts whodunit mystery, one part romance. I'm not a big romance reader, but once I got through that pocket of the book, I found the rest of the story to be a quick, entertaining read. Surprisingly, the character I sympathized with and liked the most was Marmalade, the cat. Lots of things seemed a bit far-fetched or potentially inaccurate, but suspension of disbelief goes a long way in being able to enjoy a novel. . Adorable Lea Loved the characters and especially Marmalade! Loved the movie references to the old great movies, Nick and Nora.sleuths! Great read all around.. An unusual mystery This is a rather unusual mystery - in fact, I was at least half-way through before I was sure it was a mystery. (Make that more like three quarters of the way through.) However, the run-up to the mystery is interesting - a young man has first an old woman as his client (he's an attorney), then the family she leaves behind. It's sort of like life - a traveling story that moves from one thing to another, changing direction and purpose as it goes. It takes place in Canada, near Toronto, has a good bit of character angst and
