Having followed the Dark Prince series from the very beginning up until it's final moments within Bastard King, I must say that I have become emotionally attached, and drawn into, their world and the growing romances between Lor and Scion, and even Aeon and Davon, and upon having finished this volume, I can only say that my love for their characters has grown a tad bit more. Relationship wise, the story has woven in Lor's need to feel accepted and loved once more (despite not knowing that he already is loved and cherished), as well as Scion's. Alsostupid, stupid and stupid R. S. Most disjointed, repetitive piece of tripe I have ever had the displeasure of reading. Her written stories are much better. Half of each of the 3 comic books is a repeat explanation of who everyone is. There is scarcely any story at all. It is complete and utter garbage. Not worth a penny, much less a few bucks. Book 3 here says 72 pages in the description, it gave me hope there would be an actual story but it is a lie. 25 pages are all there is, 4-5 of which are rehashing who's who and the rest is samples and chatch. Wasted money.. Well worth it! The plot of this series had more complexity than some of this author's other works, and the medieval setting seemed more authentic somehow. Either as a result of the change in writing style or the fabulous illustrations or a combination of the two. It's always rewarding when Ms. Abraham is able to give more dimension to the story beyond the relationships which are naturally the focus for this genre.
