With quirky, inspired artwork, History Dudes' look at the past is both irreverent and informative

Still, Cando's expressive, brightly colored comic characters are sure to entice many a dude to pick these books up-don't expect them to stay on the shelves.—Robin L. All rights reserved. . The lively, often irreverent texts, full of puns and slang, will engage young readers, though the small font used in many places makes them hard to read. Lots of info, but curse word and super small print Brookis Lots of good information. May be better suited to an older child. I got this for my 6 year old but I think a year or 2 later would have been better. It's hard to hold his attention span that long. The biggest thing I didn't like is there is at least one curse word in this book. Totally inappropriate for kids. The print is also very small to read throughout the whole book. The actual content seems like it could hold an older kids attention, maybe 8 o. A Funny Take on History My kids love these books. "Excellent way to teach history" according to Jessica Voigts. We LOVE this book. Our daughter (6) is passionate about ancient Egypt. She loves everything about the past there, and we've read a zillion books. THIS ONE, however, was the only one where we fell out laughing as we were reading it, and that we laugh with again and again. Clever illustrations and excellent writing make this book a MUST-READ. The other books in the series are equally as good!
